Romania debt to international institutions up by EUR 708 M

Romania’s foreign medium- and long-term direct debt to the international financial institutions was up by EUR 708 M in October to EUR 14.474 bln from EUR 13.766 bln in September of this year, show figures made public by the National Bank of Romania on Monday. According to a release sent by the Minister-delegate for the Budget Liviu Voinea to Agerpres on October 23, Romania had, at that date, drawn EUR 700 M from the development policies loan contacted at the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) in 2012, which totalled EUR 1 bln. The increased Romanian debts to the international financial institutions came after they had constantly dropped over the last year from EUR 14.38 billion in Nov. 2012 to EUR 13.766 billion in Oct. 2013.
