The number of fixed-point broadband Internet connections reached 3.8 million in H1 2013, on the rise by 6.7 per cent compared to H1 2012, show the data in the statistical Report on the electronic communications market in Romania, released on Monday by the National Communications Managing and Regulatory Authority (ANCOM). Compared to late 2012, the coverage rate of fixed-point broadband Internet connections per 100 inhabitants is 18.8 per cent, up by 1.2 per cent, while the coverage rate per 100 households increased by 3 per cent to almost 46 per cent.
