MFP borrowed another RON 60 M from banks, in the last tender this year

The Ministry of Public Finance (MFP) on Friday borrowed another RON 60 M (about EUR 14.06 M at the current exchange rate) from the local commercial banks, in the last tender of the year involving government bonds, reads a release MFP sent to Agerpres.
In 2013, MFP borrowed approx. RON 48.5 bln from the banks, by issuing state bonds in lei. On Friday there was organised an additional session to the tender that was carried out a day before, when the MFP borrowed RON 863.26 M from the local banks, by issuing state bonds carrying a three year maturity, at an average yield of 3.97 per cent, down from the last borrowing session of this type. The value of the issue was RON 60 M and the nine banks made bids amounting to RON 1.6 bln.
