Chamber of Deputies assents to Coman being remanded in custody

The Romanian Parliament’s Chamber of Deputies voted for a request to approve that Conservative Deputy Gheorghe Coman being remanded in custody.
The move got 190 votes for and 34 against. A number of 254 deputies attended the sitting.
The deputies of the ruling Social Democrat Party (PSD), National Liberal Party (PNL) and Conservative Party as well as from the opposition Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) and the Dan Diaconescu People’s Party (PP-DD) had announced the Chamber plenary sitting, before the start of the vote that they would vote for the General Prosecutor’s Office request.
