Gig Becali to collaborate with Gheorghe Hagi’s FC Viitorul Constanta

Gigi Becali will be able to leave prison. According to Romania TV, the collaboration contract between FC Viitorul Constanta and the Poarta Alba Penitentiary was signed on Wednesday. Becali will be able to leave prison for eight hours every day. The Poarta Alba Penitentiary’s leadership had received a request from the Viitorul Constanta Football Academy which wanted to hire Gigi Becali. The penitentiary responded positively and the contract was signed on Wednesday, Romania TV informs. Gigi Becali will officially be an adviser on football issues and will have to show up for work every morning. Steaua’s financier will be accompanied by a guardian from the penitentiary. Nevertheless, the guardian will not stay in order to supervise Becali, returning only in the evening in order to take Becali back to the penitentiary.  As Viitorul Constanta’s adviser, Gigi Becali will handle everything, the “King’s” club set to become League I’s “Little Steaua” as Gigi told his entourage. The financier will handle the paying of salaries within the club, negotiating contracts with players, as well as filling in vacant positions within the extended line-up. Moreover, as a sign of gratitude for the gesture, Gigi told Hagi that he will cover all of the club’s expenses while he is detained at Poarta Alba. This means that the club’s expenses will be covered for at least two more years. “Hagi has set me free! We will create a strong team. Little Steaua will be like Steaua, wait and see what players I’ll bring here! I will totally commit,” Gigi told persons close to him.
