Search at Slobozia City Hall in luxury cars traffic file

The police force of Ialomita County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) performed ten searches at Slobozia City Hall and the houses of several persons suspected of felonies. The searches target six individuals suspected of usury, blackmail, forgery and fraud in 2013, according to a press release of the Romanian Police. Ialomita County prefect Gigi Petre told Mediafax that the searches were made at the office of mayor Alexandru Stoica (PSD) and the office of his secretary. Mayor Stoica is suspected of forging the tax certificates for three luxury cars using the mayoralty stamp, to suggest that the taxes owed to the state were paid, according to Police sources quoted by Mediafax.
