Special Government meeting on the Partnership Agreement 2014-2020

Government members are to reunite on Saturday in a special meeting on the Partnership Agreement which settles the way to attract European funds between 2014 and 2020, announced PM Victor Ponta. He asked the ministers during yesterday’s meeting of the Cabinet for “maximum focus” on concluding the programs on 2007-2013 and on drafting the Partnership Agreement. A document presented last week reveals that the European Commission experts told the Romanian authorities that the first version of the Agreement to use the community funds between 2014 and 2020 lacks strategic vision, is too vague and does not prove that the lesson taught by the failure to spend the EU money was capitalized. The PM also announced that the Government will start next week to issue a calendar for implementing the investment projects agreed upon with the Chinese Government in November, on occasion of the summit meeting between China and Central and Eastern Europe states.
