SOCAR prepares to open first fuel filling station in Bucharest

The state oil company of Azerbaijan SOCAR, which owns a network of 22 fuel filling stations in Romania, has currently 338 employees in Romania following a recruitment campaign for 50 positions, zf.ro informs. The oil group has received over 750 resumes. Last year, the company invested EUR 13 million to build 9 fuel filling stations, is preparing opening of first unit in Bucharest and the SOCAR officials say they intend to open as many stations as possible in Romania’s big cities to expand the current network. “The company’s strategy for this year is to expand its network and open as many fuel filling stations as possible in Romania’s big cities and the main arteries of international traffic,” says Hamza Karimov, managing director of SOCAR Romania.
