Victor Ponta to head National Organising Committee for Romania 100 Programme

Prime Minister Victor Ponta is going to head the National Organising Committee for Romania 100 Programme, according to a decision adopted by the government and quoted by Agerpres. The normative act refers to the Romania 100 Programme designed to organise the ceremonies occasioned by the celebration on December 1, 2018 of 100 years since the setting up of the Romanian National Unitary State. Moreover, there will also be created another National Committee for the preparation, organising and coordination of actions to be developed as part of this Programme. Besides the Prime Minister, the organising committee also includes the Vice Prime Minister for national security issues and the representatives of several ministries, among which the Ministry for National Defence, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Development, the Ministry of National Education, the Secretariat General of the Government and also the representatives of the Romanian Academy and of the Patriarchy.
