Contemporary art at next Artmark auction

Postmodernist and contemporary art market opens on Tuesday, January 28 at Artmark, when the art lovers have the chance, during the event organized at Athenee Palace Hilton, but also online, through Artmark Live, to directly purchase about 150 paintings, created by Constantin Piliuta, Horia Bernea, Stefan Caltia and Sabin Balasa. Constantin Piliuta is present with “Fish Feast” (estimated at EUR 3,000-4,500) and “Lily Flowers” (EUR 2,000 to 3,500), Horia Bernea with “Hill at Apple’s Grove” (EUR 2,000-4,000), Stefan Caltia with a “Collection of 29 engravings” created in 1989 (EUR 2,500-3,500), and Sabin Balasa with “To the Horizon” (EUR 6,000-9,000). The most expensive items auctioned by Artmark are “Sunflower” by Ion Tuculescu (estimated at EUR 60,000 – 80,000), “Canal Grande” by Corneliu Baba (EUR 18,000 – 25,000) and “Still life with books, pink flowers and pear” by Alexandru Ciucurencu (EUR 10,000 – 16,000).
