Minister Pricopie met UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova

Minister of National Education Remus Pricopie on Monday, January 20, in Paris, met UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova. The main subject on the agenda of the meeting was the cooperation in education between the Ministry of National Education (MEN) and UNESCO. According to a press release the talks focused on establishing a strategy in agreement with the UNESCO one, for long-term development 2014-2020. Other important subjects of the talks were the identification of some concrete means to continue the cooperation between MEN and UNESCO in education and professional training. During the meeting, Remus Pricopie also approached the question of the UNESCO representatives attending the European conference to be organized in Bucharest, on March 10-11, 2014, by MEN in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Protection and Elderly People and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
