Support granted to green energies might be diminished again

Three PSD senators propose that the Law of renewable energies is modified again and the maximum value of green certificates is reduced from EUR 55 to EUR 30, the executive director of the Association for Wind Energy (RWEA), Ionel David announced yesterday, Mediafax informs. One of the three senators is Gabriela Firea, David said in a conference. Presently, the law provides that a green certificate is traded at values between EUR 27 and EUR 55. Green certificates are granted by the state to the producers of energy from renewable sources for each MWh generated and delivered to consumers. If the proposal of the three senators is approved, it would mean another diminishment of the support provided by the state for green energy, after the move made by the government last year, when it decided that some green certificates will be granted to producers after a 3-year delay. Another decrease of this support came into effect on January 1st, when the number of green certificates provided to the producers of alternate energy was diminished.
