Bucharest airports report 1.3 pc more passenger traffic in 2013

The National Company Bucharest Airports (CNAB) had a turnover of RON 613 million last year, 10 per cent higher, for a gross profit of RON 78 million, three times higher than the one predicted, reads a company release. The two airports managed by the company, International Airport Henri Coanda Bucharest and International Airport Baneasa-Aurel Vlaicu, were used by 7.64 million passengers, 1.3 per cent higher than in 2012. The number of aircraft landings and take-offs on the two capital city airports amounted to 95,984 last year. In 2013, 84 per cent of the passengers of Henri Coanda airport traveled to or from airports of the European Union states, according to the quoted source.
