CSM to meet U.S. embassy representatives

Adrian Bordea, President of the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM), and Gheorghe Muscalu, Vice-President of CSM, are scheduled to meet with representatives of the United States embassy to Bucharest today, according to the CSM website. The last meeting between CSM management and U.S. embassy representatives took place on January 9. Since they took office, the president and vice-president of CSM have met with several ambassadors to Romania, namely Diego Brasioli, Ambassador of Italy, Philippe Gustin, Ambassador of France, Martin Harris, Ambassador of Great Britain, and Matthijs van Bonzel, Ambassador of the Netherlands. Topics of discussion included, among others, the fight against corruption, the implementation of the new Penal Codes and procedures, and the CVM report.
