PDL to stage massive anti-government rally on Feb 8

The Democratic Liberal Party (PDL, in opposition) will organize ‘a massive rally’ against the Ponta Government on Feb. 8 in Bucharest, Liberal Democrat Vice President Ioan Oltean announced in Bistrita (north-eastern Romania) on Friday. At least 15,000 party members are slated to attend the demonstration. ‘PDL should take action, after two years of repentance. I believe it has waited enough for the incumbent Government to meet its commitments and govern according to the promises made to the Romanian people over the past few years (…) The recent events are outrageous, another good reason for PDL to realize the current government will never be able to govern to the country’s general interest,’ Oltean said.
