SRI Head met ex-CIA director, Michael Hayden

Important achievements resulting from the partnership between the Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) and the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) have been recalled during talks on Friday between SRI Head George Maior and the former CIA director retired four-star general Michael V. Hayden. ‘During the term of director Hayden as head of the American agency, several common interest areas were developed: prevention and fight against terrorism, response to cross-border threats, cyber-security, and energy security,’ SRI spokesperson Sorin Sava told Agerpres.
Michael Hayden also told a press conference on cyber-security on Friday at the National Bank of Romania (BNR) that the United States collects information, but not to get rich, as the Chinese do. “We, the Americans, acknowledge the fact that we steal things (from cyberspace – editor’s note), but our objective is not to get rich. The crime rings come next, and their primary goal is to get rich, the socially ‘outcast’, whom I define as anarchists, activists, as Guccifer is, rank third, but they have no objective whatsoever (…),” said Hayden.
