Several frescos dating back in the 15th and 16th centuries were discovered in three Evangelical churches in Sibiu and Mures Counties, while they were restored during a project funded with European money, and the duration of the project was prolonged for their rehabilitation, reports Mediafax. Officials of the Evangelical Church of Romania said on Monday during a press conference that 18 fortified churches in Transylvania are restored through a European project worth about EUR 6 million. This project was supposed to conclude at the beginning of this year, but the period of implementation was prolonged because the frescos were discovered inside these three churches in Sibiu and Mures.
