Gov’t lifts alert status in counties, Ponta warns against floods

The alert state will be lifted for all counties under code red last week, but the authorities must be prepared, most likely, for inevitable floods after the snow that has fallen over the past few days, said PM Victor Ponta yesterday. The members of the winter commandment extended the alert status last week for the other counties under the red code, we are talking about Ialomita, Calarasi, Constanta and Tulcea, after the status was previously implemented for Buzau, Braila and Vrancea. On the other hand, the meteorologists announced the weather forecast for February 3-17, with slightly higher temperatures expected, weather warmer than the usual mid-February values, and rain is expected to fall.
