Minus 26 degrees Celsius in Miercurea Ciuc, coldest night of the winter

Monday night, weather stations in Miercurea Ciuc and Joseni reported a temperature of minus 26 degrees Celsius, the lowest value recorded this winter, realitatea.net informs. Petho Devay Ildiko, meteorologist at the Local Weather Center in Targu Mures, stated it was cold in both localities throughout the entire night, with temperatures reaching minus 24 and minus 25 degrees Celsius. He noted the minus 26 degrees Celsius value is the lowest temperature of this season. Thermometers in Toplita also reported extremely low temperatures of minus 20 degrees Celsius.
