Senator Stefan Stoica and Deputy Mircea Grosaru died

Senators observed a moment of silence in the memory of 37-year-old senator Stefan Stoica, former member of PPDD and PSD affiliate, who died early yesterday, Mediafax informs. According to Haralambie Vochitoiu, former group leader of PPDD, Stefan Stoica was diagnosed with cancer over a year ago and the disease worsened. Stoica was apparently repeatedly hospitalized and he died yesterday in a hospital in Bucharest. Stoica was a physician by profession. The death of Italian minority leader Mircea Grosaru was announced the day before. Deputy Grosaru, aged 61, died on Monday of a heart attack at the Emergency County Hospital (SJU) in Suceava. A lawyer by profession, Mircea Grosaru was serving his fourth term as Italian minority leader and was a member of the Legal Commission. He was also chairman of the Italian Association of Romania.
