Repair work on Flaminia scheduled to be completed in May

After waste unloading and decontamination operations are finalized in Denmark, the Flaminia MSC port-container will be arriving to Daewoo-Mangalia Heavy Industries S.A. around February 15, 2014, to undergo repair and construction work, according to a press release issued by the company. Work is scheduled to be completed by end May 2014. The German Flaminia ship arrived in Constanta Port last May and has been waiting for approval from Romanian authorities to initiate hazardous waste decontamination procedures and repair work in Mangalia, after catching on fire in the Atlantic Ocean in 2012.
