CCIB to organise economic mission to Iran after mid-April

The Bucharest Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIB) will cooperate with Iran’s Embassy to Romania to organise an economic mission to Iran, scheduled for the second half of April 2014, Agerpres informs. CCIB Chairman Sorin Dimitriu discussed with Iran’s Ambassador to Romania Bahador Amimian Jazi last week, to identify in advance the domains of common interest for the two countries’ business milieus.
On this occasion, Sorin Dimitriu stressed that the industrial sector (equipment, installations, technical and technological solutions, including for water and soil decontamination) and the higher education field are two domains providing opportunities that can be tapped into by the two countries. According to the Iranian ambassador, there is potential for developing the Romanian-Iranian relations of cooperation also in infrastructure, the petrochemical industry, exploration of oil and gas deposits, energy, electrification, the automotive industry, agriculture, tourism. In addition, the complementarity of the two countries’ economies allows the implementation of cooperation projects in the industrial sector on third markets.
