Dr. Oetker buys land for new plant in Arges County

Dr. Oetker, the largest producer of food additives on the Romanian market, will build a new plant in Valea Iasului village in Arges County, after it purchased 14 hectares of land near its current production unit, reports zf.ro. The German company might invest up to EUR 15 M in the new plant, after it paid EUR 1.8 M for the land owned by the Valea Iasului City Hall, according to the mayor of the village, Nicolae Barbu. Dr. Oetker entered the Romanian market in 1998. The company’s European production sites are located in France, Italy, the Netherlands, UK, Poland, Hungary, Romania, Russia and the Czech Republic, as well as in Slovakia and Turkey.
