Montenegro opens Embassy in Bucharest

Foreign Affairs Minister Titus Corlatean on Tuesday attended the opening of the Embassy of Montenegro in Bucharest and he welcomed this event on behalf of Romania’s Government, according to Agerpres. ‘I want to congratulate, on behalf of the Romanian Government, the Government of Montenegro, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Igor Luksic and Ambassador [Milan] Begovic for the opening of the Embassy of Montenegro in Bucharest. It is a project we, the two foreign ministries, discussed last year in Podgorica; I am very happy to see this project completed very quickly,’ Corlatean said. ‘I am convinced that this event will symbolize the opening of a new chapter of the historic relations between our countries,’ said Igor Luksic, who attended the above-mentioned event. Montenegro’s diplomatic mission in Bucharest will also cover the Republic of Moldova.
