Japanese ballet dancers in “Don Quixote” on Opera stage

The Japanese dancers Sena Hidaka and Shuhey Yoshida will perform for the first time at the National Opera Bucharest tonight at 7 pm in the ballet show “Don Quixote.” Ludwig Minkus’ ballet is made up of four acts and presents the story of the beloved Spanish character Don Quixote. Sena Hidaka will play Kitri and Shuhey Yoshida will be Basil. Don Quixote, an aged nobleman daydreams under the influence of chivalrous novels. He dreams about a life full of heroic deeds and is enamoured by his feminine ideal, the beautiful Dulcinea. In order to achieve these dreams, he plans a quest for fabulous adventures. For this purpose he takes his trusted servant, Sancho Panza as a squire. The show has two breaks and concludes at about 9:30 pm.
