Vodafone expands franchise stores network at national level

Vodafone has expanded its franchise stores network at national level. According to a press release, Vodafone currently has 19 stores opened on the basis of the franchise system, in Bucharest, Iasi, Cluj, Arad, Falticeni, Piatra Neamt, Medias, Sighisoara, Bistrita, Viseul de Sus, Zalau, Uricani, Comarnic, Caracal, Mizil and Targu Mures, and two of these are already aligned to the Vodafone Group’s new identity and new global design. Their number will reach 50 in the next two months and will continue to grow throughout the year. The stores that are part of this system have the same image and quality of service standards as Vodafone stores. Vodafone’s partners have access to the Vodafone know-how, systems and applications, as well as to training programs for sales personnel.
The activity of the new program is regulated through a franchise contract signed by Vodafone with its partner. Participation in this business model is possible through the payment of a franchise tax that varies from EUR 2,500 to EUR 15,000, based on factors such as type of location, surface, geographic area and the level of investments needed to arrange and equip the commercial area. Moreover, the potential partner has to have an investment capital that starts from EUR 10,000, which covers the warranty for the commercial credit line and the turnover in the first two months of activity. Vodafone currently has approximately 200 stores of its own and several hundred stores owned by exclusive partners.
