Over 2 million MWh produced by Cernavoda nuclear units in January, February

The two units of the nuclear power plant in Cernavoda produced approximately 2 million MWh of electric energy during the first two months of 2014; 1.843 MWh of this amount was delivered into the National Energy System (SEN), according to data posted on Nuclearelectrica’s website. The 1st unit produced over the aforementioned period 1.003 million MWh, and delivered 922,598 MWh; its average capacity factor was 101.08 percent; the 2nd unit produced 998,372 MWh and delivered 920,981 MWh, with an average capacity factor of 100.4 percent. In 2013, the two units of Cernavoda produced more than 11.618 million MWh, of which 10.695 million MWh were delivered to the SEN. Since their commissioning and up to the end of February 2014, the two units of the nuclear power plant have produced 132.87 million MWh, and they have delivered into the system 122.526 million MWh.
