Nuclearelectrica to participate in Hidro Tarnita, HVDCC Romania-Turkey

Nuclearelectrica shareholders approved, in Tuesday’s General Assembly meeting, the company’s participation in increasing the share capital of Hidro Tarnita Co by underwriting a number of 89,000 newly issued shares, with a face value of RON 100, Agerpes informs.
Also, they approved the agreement in principle on the implementing the project ‘Romania – Turkey 400 Kv submarine interconnection cable’ and the participation in establishing the Project Company ‘HVDCC Romania – Turkey’ by subscribing and investing the lei equivalent to a number of 2,000,000 shares with the nominal value of 1 euro.
Also in Tuesday’s General Assembly meeting, the shareholders approved stopping the works on Unit 5 of the Cernavoda nuclear power plant and changing the destination and use of spaces and structures already built for Unit 5 to other activities of Nuclearelectrica.
