For the second straight year, Orange Romania was awarded the Top Employer 2014 certification by the Top Employer Institute, the company being recognized as a top employer at European level and in Romania. Orange is the only telecommunications corporation in Romania being awarded this certification, according to a press release. The following criteria are being considered when choosing the top employers: the primary benefits, the secondary benefits and the working conditions, professional development and organizational culture as well. In addition, special attention is given to the projects devoted to the employees’ training, personal and professional development, an innovative rewarding system, as well as the company’s CSR programmes. One of the programmes that made the difference during the examination process was the corporation’s programme of wellbeing and economic support for its employees. Its purpose is to preserve a positive and healthy working environment and provide each employee with the conditions favourable for his/her performing the job tasks at the maximum potential. Last year, over 1,200 employees enjoyed the benefits of this programme. At the same time, two years ago, the corporation launched the Orange Business School programme, built around the self-development concept, providing the employees with the opportunity to take action as regards their own professional development. Thus, over 580 Orange employees attended in 2013 over 100 training sessions totalling 1,500 training days.
