Programme devoted to Brancoveanu year at National Art Museum of Romania

The programme “Brancoveanu@MNaR” runs the entire year 2014 in the Old Romanian Art Gallery of the National Art Museum of Romania (MNaR) in Bucharest, as the first event takes place on March 24, at 5:30 pm. Then, the public is invited in the Lapidarium set at the Museum of Art Collections, where a rich thesaurus of Brancoveanu-style sculpture is exhibited. Admission is free limit to available seats, based on prior registration. As of May, the visitors will be able to follow a special tour created by curators, along the ten exhibition halls. The works selected, visually marked, provide information aiming to place Bracoveanu art within the much larger background of mediaeval culture in the Romanian Principalities.
