Cluj, second high technology centre of Romania

Cluj is the most important high technology, education, research and cultural centre of Romania, after Bucharest. “In Cluj, the low unemployment rate, the relatively high living standard and the constant economic growth over the past few years are largely owed to the IT area and the connected industries, where tens of thousands of Cluj inhabitants work. In Cluj, we have successful industrial parks, IT clusters – an agricultural cluster has been recently established – , a centre for creative industries,” Minister Delegate for Social Dialogue Aurelia Cristea said at Cluj Innovation Days 2014, Agerpres informs.
Cluj Innovation Days is an event with international participation, devoted to innovation organised by Cluj IT Cluster, the most important cluster in the IT area nationwide.
Attending the event, the European Commissioner for Agriculture Dacian Ciolos stated that both him and the European Commission will support such value-added ideas, among other things refering to the Cluj Innovation Days event.

Moreover, Cluj Innovation City project, estimated at EUR 300 M, would be on the list of major investment projects at national level so that can benefit from European funding in the 2014-2020 budget year.
