Kistvaen, the extreme metal band originating from Bucharest, was chosen by organizers and managers to open the concert in which Swedish band Watain and Degial will be performing April 7 at Club Colectiv in Bucharest. Niklas Kvarforth (Shining) and Inia Dinia (ex-Negura Bunget) were featured on Kistvaen’s debut album, which received excellent reviews from both the audiences and the press, and the band – now in a new line-up – has recently finished recording their second record. The Swedish Watain has quickly gained a cult following and is now one of the few bands whose music and visual concept precisely define the idea of black metal, as it was originally conceived. The April show will also be accompanied by unique visual effects, and will include special guests and promoters of old school death metal Degial, a supergroup in which members of Katalysator, Graveless, Veternus, Repugnant, and Die Hard have played throughout the years. The show was designed as an official pre-party for METALHEAD Meeting 2014 taking place June 7 at Arenele Romane and including established bands like Sepultura and Moonspel, in addition to 5 other bands.
