B-Max production, temporary cease in April-June

The US carmaker Ford decided to cease the production of B-Max for the moment, due to the low demand on the European market. “Although B-Max remains one of the best-selling models in its segment, the demand in Europe for the mini MPVs dropped. Consequently, Ford Romania readjusts their production figures for the B-Max model and plans to cease the activity in the Vehicle Operations Section for eight days in May, and nine in June. As for Engine Production Section, we do not foresee days without production in May or June,” said Ana-Maria Timis, spokesperson for Ford Romania, according to Mediafax. The carmaker will keep readjusting its production figures to the market demand, she added. Last year, the vehicle production of the Craiova plant was stopped for about 35 days, and seven days at the engines.
