ICCJ: Historian Alex Mihai Stoenescu collaborated with the former Securitate

Historian Alex Mihai Stoenescu, ex vice-president of the New Generation Party (PNG), was a collaborator of the former Securitate, the High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ) definitively decided. In September 2012, a judge from the Bucharest Court of Appeals admitted the lawsuit filed by the National Council for the Study of Securitate Archives (CNSAS) against Stoenescu, in which the council asks the court to certify that he collaborated with the former Securitate. In 2006, the CNSAS college questioned Alex Mihai Stoenescu and Doru Braia, as opinion formers, as the College had information that the two had connections with the former Securitate, sources with the college told Mediafax back then. According to the same sources, Stoenescu admitted his collaboration with the Securitate.
