ANAF: Incomes collected to the budget, up 4.63 pc in Q1

The total incomes collected to the budget by the National Agency for Fiscal Administration (ANAF) in the first quarter of 2014 amounted to RON 42.426 bln, which represents an increase by 4.63 pc – nominal index (RON 1.878 bln in absolute figures) against the similar period of 2013 (RON 40.548 bln), the Agency announced on Thursday. The increase took place at a moment when the collection activity this year is negatively influenced by a higher volume of effective VAT refunds to taxpayers, from RON 2.36 bln in 2013 to RON 2.772 bln in 2014.
“Given this aspect, the analysis of incomes in comparable conditions leads to a total volume of incomes of RON 42,837.70 M and a real surplus of 5.64 pc – nominal index, respectively of RON 411.65 in absolute figures compared to the similar interval of 2013,” reads a communique. Due to the increase of the contribution quota from 4 pc in 2013 to 4.5 pc in 2014, the sum transferred to the private pensions fund was RON 182.6 M higher than in 2013. The sum collected to the state budget topped RON 28.19 bln, RON 1.235 bln (4.58 pc nominal index) higher than in the same interval of 2013. In March 2014, the total amount of budgetary incomes achieved by ANAF reached RON 15.13 bln, 2.33 pc more – nominal index, respectively RON 344.2 bln in absolute figures – than in the similar period of 2013 (RON 14.786 bln).
