Romania-China cooperation regarding forestry and wetland protection

The Romanian Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Attila Korodi, on Monday, April 14, being accompanied by the Minister-delegate for Waters, Forests and Fishery, Doina Pana, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the State Forestry Administration of the People’s Republic of China, the Ministry of Environment, Water, Forests and Fishery in Romania, regarding cooperation in the forestry field, wetland preservation and protection of the wild life, reads a release remitted to Agerpres. The delegation of the People’s Republic of China was headed by Zhao Shucong, the head of the National Administration for Forestry of the People’s Republic of China.  The Memorandum of Understanding includes cooperation in the field of policies and legislation regarding the forests, sustainable management of the forests as necessary measures to cut greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to the climate change, as well as in terms of protection of the forests.
