4.5 pc increase in passenger volume on Bucharest airports

Air traffic exceeded 1.5 million passengers in the third months of the year on the International Airport Henri Coanda Bucharest and the International Airport Baneasa – Aurel Vlaicu, as the number of passengers was 4.5 percent higher on a year-on-year basis. The National Company Bucharest Airports (CNAB), managing the two airports, reported over the first three months of this year an increase of almost 7 percent in revenues compared to the same period of last year. The increase was mainly due to the revenues from exploitation, supported by a higher number of passengers on the company’s airports. Over the first three months, the company reported a gross profit of about RON 21.5 million, 2.7 times higher than the one in Q1 of 2013.
