FM Corlatean attends Council of Europe 124th ministerial meeting

Romania’s Foreign Minister Titus Corlatean on Monday and Tuesday in Vienna is attending the 124th ministerial meeting of the Council of Europe, held under Austria’s chairmanship of the organization’s Committee of Ministers, the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) reports. A ceremony for the handing over of the presidency of the Committee of Ministers to Azerbaijan will be held at the end of the meeting. According to MAE, the main item on the agenda is the situation in Ukraine, which will make the object of an extensive exchange of views among the participating ministers.
Moreover, a festive ceremony will be held on Monday evening to celebrate 65 years since the founding of the Council of Europe. On the sidelines of the ministerial meeting, Titus Corlatean will meet with Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Thorbjorn Jagland, with Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Yukiya Amano.
