The Nana village assailant, under preventive arrest

Stefan Fileata, the man in Calarasi-based village Nana is under house arrest after assaulting a woman during an election visit of PMP leader Elena Udrea, in the case in which he is accused of complicity to embezzlement, according to Mediafax. Fileata was to be present on Wednesday at hearings at Targu Jiu Court in another case in which he is accused of embezzlement against Oltenia Energy Complex. Fileata failed to come to hearings, and said that he went to the Emergency County Hospital Targu Jiu because he had major health issues. Under these circumstances, the magistrates issued an arrest warrant in absentia, for 30 days on Fileata’s name, as several police officers went to the hospital to take him and bring him to Gorj County Police arrest. Fileata was also under preventive arrest on January 19, when the police officers were notified about his involvement together with other accomplices in the theft of 40 tons of metal scrap.
