Maschio-Gaspardo turnover, up by 39 pc in Q1

Italian farm equipment manufacturer Maschio-Gaspardo Romania, currently owner of a production facility in Chisineu-Cris, a locality in Arad County, reported a turnover of over RON 46.6 billion (approx. EUR 10.5 million) in Q1, up by 39 percent from the same period in the previous year, according to zf.ro. The Italians have projected an overall turnover of RON 157 million (around EUR 35 million) for this year compared with EUR 31 million in 2013. Last year, the company manufactured a total of just under 2,225 items of farming equipment and representatives of the Chisineu-Cris plant expect figures to reach approx. 2,500 this year. “(…) Considering the existing investment opportunities for mechanization in this sector, we believe the farming equipment market will grow in the near future,” Mirco Maschio, administrator of Maschio-Gaspardo Romania, stated. In the next three years, the company wants to expand its production capacity by investing EUR 10 million in equipping the new production hall with welding robots, laser cutting systems, and vertical storage units, among others.
