Conduct, education and social relations saved Nastase from harsher punishment

The cultural level, the lack of past criminal activity, the social relations at different levels and the conduct after committing the deeds are among the motives why the Bucharest Tribunal decided not to extend his prison time. According to the motivation, the 4 years term is “enough,” judges said. The Bucharest Tribunal ruled on May 8 that Nastase will maintain the 4 year prison term, without an extension of the time, after merging the sentences of the former premier in the “Zambaccian” and “Quality trophy” cases.
