AT&T chairman, on informal visit to Bucharest

Randall Stephenson, chairman and CEO of US-based telecom giant AT&T – with incomes of USD 129 bn in 2013, visited Bucharest few weeks ago and had a private dinner with Victor Ponta, the prime minister of Romania, zf.ro informs. On this occasion, it was evoked the possibility that the group opens a support center in Bucharest, where it will hire 200 people. The meeting between the chief of AT&T and Victor Ponta in Bucharest was confirmed Sunday, May 18 by Viorel Hrebenciuc, an influential PSD politician, on RTV. January 1, Randall Stephenson also became president – for a 2-year term – of Business Roundtable, a powerful association of American CEOs, which include 211 CEOs that led companies with a cumulated annual turnover of USD 7.4 trillion and employ over 16 million people.
