Around 13,000 beneficiaries will sign financing agreements through the Green House scheme this year. In 2014, approximately one third (RON 305 million) of the overall budget (RON 1 billion) required for ongoing water and sanitation projects will be ensured by the Environment Fund Administration. “(…) In the record submission session from June 1 to July 15, 2011, a number of 23,938 records were submitted, 14,162 of which have already been processed and 9,776 are waiting to be processed. We have decided these records should also be processed as soon as possible,” Attila Korodi, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, stated in a press conference. He explained that records are processed and assessed by local environmental protection agencies based on the first-come, first-served principle. A list of approved and rejected projects will be published on the EFA website in accordance with the Financing Guidelines. So far, 11,509 of all processed records have been approved and 2,653 have been rejected.
