Romania, awarded for financial education programme

Romania in New York received an award for the financial education programme conducted by the National Bank of Romania (BNR) and the National Education Ministry (MEN), within ‘Global Money Week’ international project, central bank announced in a press release. ‘(…) Global Money Week Award is granted to one single country of each continent, being the most important of the three sections awarded by Child and Youth Finance International (CYFI). The European states nominated in this category in 2014 were Romania, Holland and Albania,’ the BNR mentions. ‘Global Money Week’ is a project initiated by CYFI non-governmental organisation in 2012, being carried out once a year over a week period.
