OMV manager detained for bribe

On Wednesday, prosecutors with the National Anticorruption Directorate – Galati Regional Division have brought criminal charges against Nicolae Gavrilescu, sectoral manager of the Moldova Sud regional division of OMV Petrom, and Ana Petre, real estate market expert and responsible for disposing of secondary assets, the Directorate reported. Both suspects have been charged with bribe for allegedly requesting EUR 10,000 from the denouncer to approve the sale and purchase of properties owned by Petrom SA at a better price for the denouncer.
