The sixth edition of the International Street Theatre Festival B-FIT in the Street will take place from Thursday to Sunday on the streets of Bucharest, report the event organizer, ArCuB – the Cultural Centre of Bucharest. Over four days, Unirii Plaza, George Enescu Plaza, Universitatii Plaza, Cismigiu Park, the historical center and all the major avenues will be flooded with joy and color, with 30 shows in which 230 artists will perform from nine states: Australia, Spain, France, the Netherlands, the UK, Slovakia, Belgium, Italy and Romania. Among the 30 theatre crews specialized in street theatre which bring shows to Bucharest there are Compagnie Deus Ex Machina, Compagnia Teatro Scalzo, Krist Doo Street Theatre, Compagnie Mademoiselle Paillette, Close Act Theatre, Grupo Puja, Aquatique Show International and Compania Demons et Merveilles.
The agenda of the 2014 edition of B-FIT in the Street festival includes spectacular representations with giant puppets, aliens, enthralling characters, improved moments, sophisticated machinery, stage lighting and water arrangements. Some of the most attractive representations at B-FIT in the Street 2014 are the lights on water show presented by Aquatique Show International on Dambovita River, in the area of Unirii Plaza, “Hamlet,” a unique approach on the Shakespeare play proposed by Shakespeare’s Globe Company, the hallucinating movement of the artists at Mirror Family, the representations of Transe Express from France, the giant puppets Divas, which are going to fill the city with colour and entertainment, as well as the band Celestial Carrillon, which is going to inundate the city sky with impressive lights for 50 minutes.
The admission to all representations during the festival is free.
