Romania’s heiress apparent Margareta, Prince Radu and Prince Nicolae will tour the city of Craiova (southern Romania), coming aboard the Royal Train, to attend City Day celebrations at the invitation of the Craiova Local Council, Sunday and Monday, Agerpres informs. On June 1, the International Children’s Day, Princess Margareta will welcome aboard the Royal Train 30 elderly and children that have qualified for inter-generational programme carried out by Princess Margareta through the Generational Centre and the Never Alone programme. They will accompany the Royal Family on their way from Bucharest to Craiova. The Royal Train is expected to reach the Craiova station on Sunday, June 1, at 14:00hrs, EEST, where the Royal Family will be welcomed by Craiova City Mayor Olguta Vasilescu and other representatives of the local administration. In the afternoon, Prince Radu and Prince Nicolae will attend an event that promotes reading called ‘Childhood’s Books,’ organized nationwide by the Curtea Veche Publishing House. In the afternoon, the royal visitors will take part in a dinner extended by the Craiova City Hall and in the evening they will be attending a musical and choreographic staging of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana by the Craiova Romanian Opera.
The Royal Train can be visited at the Craiova station on Sunday until 20:00hrs, EEST. On June 2, the royal visitors will leave Craiova aboard the Royal Train and bring along Dolj Olympiad students.
