Second SOCAR petrol station in Iasi

SOCAR of the oil and gas company owned by Azerbaijan (The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic) opened its second petrol station in Iasi, reaching 28 in the entire country, reports a press release. The new SOCAR petrol station has a total surface of 1,600 square metres, 100 of which represent the space for the store and the cafe bar.
The Iasi Bahlui petrol station was taken over by SOCAR from a private company and then upgraded, using the building. The storage capacity is 105 cubic meters per petroleum product. The land belongs to Iasi mayoralty and the company has a contract with the local authorities to use the land. The investment value exceeds EUR 800,000.
“Through their new petrol station in Iasi, SOCAR consolidates their business remaining among the main competitors on the market. For the near future, we plan to open other petrol stations in Iasi,” said CEO of SOCAR Romania Hamza Karimov. Through its two petrol stations in Iasi, SOCAR created 22 jobs.
