The Chamber of Deputies hosted yesterday on Children’s Day a unique plenum session in which more than 150 students from the National College “Sfantul Sava,” the Central School and “Miguel de Cervantes” High-School became MPs for a few hours, as Valeriu Zgonea making the kids familiar with the parliamentary procedures. Also, The Victoria Palace, Romania’s government headquarters, on June 1 opened its doors for all the children, organising for them small dance, face-painting and theatre competitions, Agerpres reports. Children presided a government session at the Victoria Palace, one of the decisions they took being to have a holiday on Monday, an event attended by Prime Minister Victor Ponta, Minister of Education, Remus Pricopie and other members of the Executive as well. Before the Prime Minister arrived, Remus Pricopie explained to the children what every minister does, according to the place they occupied around the table. Prime Minister Victor Ponta wished all children to stay in good health, happiness and a better world, on their international day.
