A portrait of writer Tudor Arghezi painted by Theodor Pallady and another of poetess Nina Cassian painted by Iosif Ross will be put for sale at the auction “From dream to reality” held on Monday, June 16 at 7 pm at Goldart auction house, reports a press release quoted by Mediafax. Among the ornamental items put for auction there are several lighting devices, ranging from refined light fixtures to spectacular chandeliers and lamps. The tableware is similarly attractive, including the ample dinnerware Klinkosch, artistic silverware, china or earthenware created by renowned European manufacturers. Viorel Margineanu, Stefan Caltia, Geta Bratescu, Alma Redlinger, Ana Ruxandra Ilfoveanu, Ion Iancut and others are among the reference names of the contemporary art at this auction. A special section is represented by the portrait, due to the presence of the graphic representations of some major cultural figures. Thus, apart from the paintings of Tudor Arghezi and Nina Cassian, the public will have the opportunity to admire the works “Self-Portrait” by Dimitrie Loghin, “Ion Grigorescu” by Milita Petrascu and “I.L.Caragiale” by Mina Byck Wepper. Similarly expressive are some “anonymous” portraits made by Ion Theodorescu Sion, Rudolf Schweitzer-Cumpana, Iosif Iser, Ovidiu Oprea, Nicolae Vermont and Bob Bulgaru.
